Final U15 Girls’ England Trials This Weekend

Girl power will be in full force, as the remaining trialists show off their skills before the final whistle

The ESFA will end their search for this season’s most talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in the 2018-2019 Schools’ Football season this weekend in Stafford.

Trials for the ESFA U15 England Schoolgirls’ squad will conclude this weekend when trialists from the North, Midlands, South East and South West of England come together at Stafford Town FC’s Evans Park for their final opportunity to earn a place in the 2018-19 England squad.

Participating girls, who were first nominated for trials by their own counties, have been whittled down to four regional squads and will now play against each other in their last remaining chance to show why they should be selected for international honours.

The international squads are made up of the best players in Schools’ Football in England. They are chosen based upon their talent, following making it through a strict nomination process. Those who are successful in the trials process will go on to represent their country playing in 2019’s Rod Houston Cup, held in Salou, Spain in April.

ESFA U18 England Squad Announced

The 20 selected players have been announced this week, ahead of the final selection process in January

The ESFA are concluding their search for this season’s most talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in the 2018-2019 Schools’ Football season. The selectors chose the final 20 players on Sunday 2nd December who, following a friendly against the RAF in January, will be reduced to the official squad of 18.

The North, Midlands, South East and South West of England came together at Stafford Town FC’s Evans Park for their final regional opportunity to earn a place in the 2018-19 England squad last weekend. Only the very best trialists were given the privilege of representing the country on an international level.

The players, who were first nominated for trials by their own counties, had been whittled down to four regional squads, from which the following successful players will now have the opportunity to play in a friendly at RAF Cosford on 5 January 2019, before the official squad of 18 is decided and announced by the Association.
