ESFA and inspiresport continue partnership for the 2021/22 season

The ESFA is delighted to announce that their partnership with inspiresport is continuing for another season.

The ongoing partnership, now into its 10th year, is testament to the mutual values held by both organisations, recognising the importance of fun and promoting sporting values with the aim of enriching young people’s lives and creating life-long memories.

This year, following the COVID-19 pandemic, providing opportunities for all players, whatever their ability, is more important than ever. This partnership will help to create these opportunities for schools’ football players across England.

Steve Butchart, Managing Director of inspiresport said “We’re very happy to continue our support of the English Schools’ Football Association for another season and can’t wait to get the U15 Girls and U18 Boys teams away on their respective development tours. Offering opportunities to players of all abilities is the backbone of what we do at inspiresport, and after the challenges of the past 18 months, it’s a great feeling to work with our partners at the ESFA on their elite requirements again whilst also being able to offer similar experiences to the ESFA member schools.”

ESFA Chairman, Mark Hignett said about the continued partnership, “We are delighted to once again be working with inspiresport for the 21/22 season. Aside from the great opportunities that they provide for school children across England with their sports tours, inspiresport also provide a fantastic training camp experience for the ESFA’s England U15 Schoolgirls and U18 Schoolboys. After the 2019/20 England squads’ experiences were cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are excited to see what inspiresport are able to offer to our squads in 2022 and look forward to going on their journey with them”

ENGLISH SCHOOLS’ FA AND CATAPULT SPORTS

The English Schools’ FA is delighted to be bringing their brand new partnership with Catapult Sports, the global leader in elite sports performance technology, to the 2019/20 Schools’ Football Season.

The partnership has already seen Catapult’s PlayerTek Team technology used by the ESFA’s two England Squads, optimising their training and development through performance tracking.  ESFA affiliated schools and Associations will now also benefit from a discounted rate on Catapult’s award winning PlayerTek devices, as well as having the opportunity to try out Catapult’s new technology, PLAYR, with in-built sports science advice.

PlayerTek is the pioneering sports-performance tracking system that helps team managers make informed decisions by using technology that has previously only been available to the elite. Team managers can use PlayerTek to scientifically monitor player performances across training sessions and matches; tracking 10 main metrics, including speed, distance, power plays and player load. Using the information gathered to measure the physical performance of players, coaches can strategically plan how to push players to greater game performance, and reduce the risk of injury.

The perfect fit

The benefits of PlayerTek Team for use within schools’ football make it the perfect fit for a partnership with the English Schools’ FA. Giving both coaches and players the chance to view and analyse their playing statistics, the package provides an abundance of learning opportunities which can be utilised by PE teachers within lessons; continuing to showcase the versatility of football within an educational environment.

Richy Alderson, ESFA England U18 Team Manager said “The England U18 Schoolboys squad have already been utilising the technology and using the data to motivate themselves to run faster, further and longer in training and in games. The heat maps are also good for players and coaches alike to highlight where players spent most of their time on the pitch, relative to their position. Overall, the system is easy to use and a great tool to analyse data performance. I would recommend this product to any elite athlete.”

Kieran Dannatt, Director of Sales at PlayerTek said; “We’re proud to partner with the English Schools FA; our cutting edge devices will help an already successful organisation embed new technology, with PlayerTek, into training, match day and the classroom. We look forward to helping the next generation of footballers improve their performance and sharing in their success at the end of the season.

More to come

We will be sharing updates throughout the season on our partnership and the benefits of this technology that are available to your school.
