The ESFA is delighted to announce the continuation of their partnership with STATSports for the 2022/23 season as the Association’s “Official GPS Partner”. To celebrate the partnership, STATSports are running a giveaway competition that all schools can enter for a chance to win an Apex GPS Performance Tracking system.

Last season, STATSports kitted out the England U15 Schoolgirls and England U18 Schoolboys, providing the management team and players with valuable insight and data into the teams’ performances, helping them reach their maximum potential for their competitive matches. Last season’s England U18 Schoolboys’ Manager, Richy Alderson, said: “As the Manager of England U18 Schoolboys, I believe that sports science has a massive impact on performance at any level, not just international or professional level. The GPS trackers, kindly donated by Statsport for the 21/22 international campaign, allowed the management team and players to monitor fitness levels. We could identify after the friendly games and training the level that each individual player was working at, in terms of cardio-vascular fitness, speed endurance and also monitoring positional play by using heat maps”.
ESFA Chair, Stuart Botham said: “I am delighted to see the continued partnership between the ESFA and STATSports head into its second season. As the Association’s Official GPS Partner, STATSports supply our two International squads with GPS trackers, providing our Team Management with further insight into players’ performance, something which was invaluable to the Association last season and contributed to the success and development of both the England U15 Schoolgirls’ and U18 Schoolboys’ squads. We will continue to support STATSports in promoting their GPS technology with schools and teams that take part in ESFA activity in the hope that this can support these teams are able to achieve even more with this new technology.”
