ESFA National Finals

PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup National Finals 2022

The ESFA is delighted to announce the dates and venue for the 21/22 PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup National Finals

The PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup National Finals festival is returning for 2022 and will see 20 Under 12 – Under 15 National Schools’ Cup Champions crowned at The Hawthorns!

This will be the second time West Bromwich Albion has hosted the PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup Finals and this year, the event will take place from Monday 22nd – Thursday 26th May, with five finals per day kicking off at:

  • 9:30am
  • 11:30am
  • 1:30pm
  • 3:30pm
  • 5:30pm

West Bromwich Albion provides a fantastic venue to host 40 teams, taking part in 20 finals and by combining the use of the WBA Academy Dome as well as the main stadium, it provides every team with a fantastic match-day experience from warm up to their post-match meal.

The Hawthorns hosted the ESFA’s live Schools’ Cup draws back in February as part of Schools’ Football Week, so this year’s finalists will already have seen their quarter and/or semi-final draws take place at the stadium in West Bromwich.

Plenty more news will be forthcoming on this incredible set of National Finals, including the full fixture list and other PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup activities – but for now, the 23rd – 26th May is a date for the diary.

Keep an eye on the ESFA’s website and social media channels for further updates and both the ESFA and the PlayStation F.C. Schools’ Cup teams hope to see you at the Hawthorns in May!

New ESFA Campaign – Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Active

The ESFA’s latest campaign encourages Schools’ Footballers to stay active, ready for the football season ahead

Whilst the end of the 2019/20 Schools’ Football season and National Finals are on hold, the ESFA want to encourage Schools’ Football squads and individual players to continue to ‘stay active’ whilst staying home.

The ESFA want players to stay active and match-ready ahead of the 2020/21 season and will be working with sponsors and partners to provide teachers and pupils alike with ideas on how to both achieve and maintain this.

Launching with a brand new video of the England U15 Schoolgirls’ skills chain, the ESFA hope to see more schools’ football content being created that is similar to this and the Association will be sharing some fantastic ideas on how teams can get involved!

The Association understands this is a difficult time for everybody, but hope that the new campaign and content to follow will give some new and exciting ideas and opportunities to help Schools’ Footballers Stay Home, Stay Safe and Stay Active.

Make sure you follow both @SchoolsFootball and @PSSchoolsCup on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook for lots more updates coming soon…!
