England U15 Schoolgirls’- Final trial this weekend

The ESFA will  end  their search for this season’s most  talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in the  2019-2020  Schools’ Football season this weekend at Stafford Town F.C.

Trials for the ESFA U15 England Schoolgirls’ squad will conclude this weekend when representative squads for south and the north of England come together at Stafford Town F.C. for one final chance to impress the selectors and earn their place in the 2019-2020 England squad.

Participating girls, who were first nominated for trials by their own counties, were first whittled down to four regional squads in the first stage of trials. These 4 regional squads became two representative squads after the second round of trials who will now play against each other in their last remaining chance to show why they should be selected for international honours.

The international squads are made up of the best players in Schools’ Football in England. They are chosen based upon their talent, following making it through a strict nomination process. The final selected squad will go on to compete in some friendly matches in the new year, including a game against the ISFA U15 girls . They will then be involved in some preparatory training before their competitive fixtures at the end of the season in the Bob Docherty Cup.

Since 1904 English Schools’ Football Association has been the governing body for schools’ football in England. The ESFA are proud of their remit as an educational organisation, and have deeply rooted values and beliefs in the importance of schools’ football for children in England. The Association is proud to be able to run an international programme for girls and hopes to grow the provision available to these players over coming years.

Good luck to all the girls who are attending.
