Utilita

Utilita is Britain’s leading Smart Pay as You Go Energy provider, specialising in innovative technology that puts its customers in better control of their energy usage and spend than ever before. Utilita customers use around 11% less energy than the average bill paying household – the only energy company created to help households use and waste less energy.

Founded in 2003 by energy industry expert and conservationist Bill Bullen, Utilita now have over 830,000* customers across the UK (*as of August 2021) who enjoy the benefits of instant top-ups and access to real-time energy usage data via their award-winning smartphone app. ‘My Utilita’ is a free app, which is currently being used by 450,000 of its customers. Utilita’s Energy High5 positive behaviour change campaign has so far reached 3.8m households – educating them on how they can waste less energy and save up to £163 by making five simple and free-of-charge adjustments to the way they use energy at home.

In 2021, Utilita launched Football Rebooted, which encourages people to donate and claim pre-played football and astro boots. Not only relinquishing the financial burden of boots for families across the UK, this campaign also aims to save 136,000 tonnes of carbon. This is the same as taking 7,000 cars off the road for a year. After the first 48-hours of the campaign launching, over 500 pairs of boots were donated.

From grassroots to the Premier League, Utilita are an established brand within the beautiful game, partnering with over 25 elite football clubs across the UK including Rangers, Crystal Palace and Southampton.

Thanks to our partnership with Utilita, the ESFA is able to heighten the coverage of our international activity for the England U15 Schoolgirl and England U18 Schoolboy squads. As the Official Energy Partner of the Association, Utilita support the activity provided for the two squads and are also the official front of shirt sponsors for this season’s kit – emblazoning all 36 players with their Energy High 5 campaign branding, to help spread their message to “waste less energy and start saving money”.
