Panini Classroom Challenge Winner Announced

Panini and the ESFA kicked off the 23/24 Schools’ Football season, by launching the latest edition of the Classroom Challenge. Schools across England were given the chance to receive PANINI PREMIER LEAGUE & WSL COLLECTIONS 23/24 goodies for their school, including worksheets with a competition to design a football. The competition prize was set at a fantastic £2,000 cash for the winning school, plus a £50 Amazon voucher and football shirt for the winning pupil. To top it all off, winners also received the option of a presentation assembly for their school pupils.

Following a difficult judging process across a staggering 5,300+ entries, the ESFA and Panini are delighted to announce that Hoblett’s Manor Junior School in Hertfordshire produced the winning entry, thanks to Ella from year 6.

The ESFA judges were delighted with the quality of entries submitted from all participating schools and found the level of work that went into each of them was impressively high. The judges also chose two other notable designs which came from Logan in year 4 at Hartford Primary School in Cheshire and Kajus in year 6 at Fossdene Primary School in London.

It has been a pleasure for the ESFA and Panini to see the popularity of the Classroom Challenge continue to grow within schools in England with each new competition launch.

Katie Gritt said, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to bring the Panini Classroom Challenge back to schools nationwide!  Supporting children’s creativity is so important to us and the Classroom Challenge provides a great way for children to get creative and engage with football off the pitch.  The quality of the children’s entries continues to amaze us every time!  We want to thank everyone who took the time to submit their entries and to congratulate Ella on being this year’s worthy winner!“

PlayStation Schools’ Cup Finals at West Bromwich Albion 2024

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming PlayStation Schools’ Cup National Finals at West Bromwich Albion’s Hawthorns stadium

The ESFA is delighted to be returning to the Hawthorns, home of West Bromwich Albion FC, for the PlayStation Schools’ Cup Finals 2024, taking place from Monday 20th – Friday 24th. The finals will see 48 teams across the U12 – U15 age groups compete for the chance to be crowned national champions! Four new girls competitions have been added to the PlayStation Schools’ Cup portfolio for the 2023/24 season as part of the ESFA’s mission to expand its girls’ football provision. This means that more teams than ever have the chance to experience a PlayStation Schools’ Cup final.

West Bromwich Albion provides a fantastic venue to host the 24 finals, sponsored by PlayStation and by combining the use of the WBA Academy Dome as well as the main stadium, it provides every team with a fantastic match-day experience from warm up to their post-match meal.

Show your support

Entry is free of charge and no ticket will be required. Spectators will park in the East Stand Car Park and access the stadium via turnstiles located in the West Stand.  There is no cost to park in the stadium car park. There will be a refreshments kiosk available for spectators to purchase food and drinks.  Souvenir programmes will be available, free of charge.

All PlayStation Schools’ Cup Finals will be streamed live via the ESFA’s YouTube channel, ESFA TV. Each final will feature full commentary and provide a great viewing experience for all those supporters who are unable to travel to the stadium. Photographs of the day can also be purchased from the ESFA Official Photographer following the event.

The ESFA is delighted to be hosting these National Final events at such a fantastic venue and hope to welcome a number of spectators along to the event to cheer on this season’s finalists as they complete their schools’ football season.
