ESFA Panini Classroom Challenge – Winner Announced!

Sussex Primary School wins £2,000 cash in the Classroom Challenge

Through the ESFA and Panini’s ongoing partnership, at the beginning of this school year, primary schools in England were invited to register to receive some Premier League Adrenalyn XLâ„¢ trading card goodies for their school, including worksheets with a competition to design a crest for a club or team. The competition prize was an incredible £2k cash for the winning school, plus £50 Amazon voucher and football shirt for the winning pupil – to top it all off, winners also receive a presentation assembly at their school from Panini.

Following a difficult judging process with an incredibly high standard of entries, the ESFA and Panini are delighted to announce that Brunswick Primary School in Sussex produced the winning entry thanks to Nia, from Year 5.

The ESFA judges were delighted with the quality of entries submitted from all participating schools and found the level of work that went into each of them was impressively high. As such, the ESFA and Panini also wanted to share two other designs, both of which were very close to the top spot!

Submitted by Lilly-May from Riverside Primary in Hereford and Ella from Mark Cross Primary in Sussex – the judging panel was really impressed with the quality of designs and also the messaging portrayed.

We would like to thank Nia and her fellow pupils from Brunswick Primary School, as well as all the other competing schools, for taking the time to enter this competition and providing us with such fantastic examples of artistic design by young students.

If you would like to follow in Brunswick Primary School’s footsteps and have the chance to enter further ESFA and Panini competitions, simply register your primary school via the link below – the brand-new Classroom Challenge for December will be announced shortly, for another chance for schools to win some fantastic prizes!

National Competitions, The World of Schools' Football

The ESFA Super League is here…

ESFA U18 National Cup Competitions just got Super…

In a change to the former U18 National Cup menu, the ESFA have introduced the first ever U18 Super League competitions for boys and girls.

The new set of competitions are designed for those schools, colleges and private providers which offer a football academy or development programme at sixth form level. In a bold new step for the ESFA, these competitions now mean the U18 offering is fully inclusive of all establishments offering programmes allowing students to benefit from regular football training, strength & conditioning and possibly analysis sessions – meaning we are once again increasing participation within National Cup settings.

The competitions, which pupils in years 11, 12 and 13 are eligible to enter are based on the Champions League format, beginning with a group phase, followed by knockout competition after Christmas. The National Final will be held during May at a Premier League or Championship stadium, where the two finalists in each competition will compete to be crowned National Super League Champions.

The ESFA are delighted to be able to open up their competition offer to include organisations outside of traditional ‘schools’ or ‘colleges’ in a bid to create an incredible level of competition for teams across England.

For more information on how to enter (if you haven’t already!), either read the full details here, call the National Competitions Department on 01785 785970 or email them directly at Competitions@schoolsfa.com
