The World of Schools' Football

Could you be an ESFA Council Member?

Be an integral part of the decision making process for the National Governing Body for Schools’ Football

The ESFA currently have a number of Council vacancies in the Midlands, North and South West of the country. The ESFA’s Council is made up of a mixture of individuals who are teachers, former teachers or work within an educational setting and who are also active in some way within their local Schools’ Football Association.

The ESFA’s Council are the driving force behind decisions on all schools’ football and by joining, you can help to ensure that your thoughts and ideas are represented to other decision-makers. The eligibility criteria has been widened to include co-opted members for a one year term as below –

“Council may, for a period of no longer than one year, co-opt a schools’ employee who does not hold QTS but who is a member of an affiliated Association in the area, as long as the co-opted membership for that area does not exceed 1 member.”

If you, or someone you know, is passionate about schools’ football and would like to help us to continue to improve what we offer to children, teams, teachers and volunteers across the schools’ football landscape, then please either:

  • Contact your local Association secretary and ask for them to nominate you
  • Contact Andrea Chilton (CEO) for further information: [email protected]

You can also find out more information along with nomination details and forms here.

We look forward to welcoming new Council members along to the ESFA in the coming weeks.
