ESFA Council Recruitment

Extended eligibility nominations to Council – Midlands and South West

Due to the ongoing vacancies for Council Members in the North, the Midlands and the South West, the ESFA have now moved to nominations for these posts under the extended eligibility criteria noted below:

“In the event that an eligible nominee for elected Council membership is not identified in an area, Council may, for a period of no longer than one year, co-opt a schools’ employee who does not hold QTS but who is a member of an affiliated Association in the area, as long as the co-opted membership for that area does not exceed 1 member.”

Associations in the North, Midlands and South West are therefore invited to consider nominations which meet the above criteria and to submit any nomination on the “extended eligibility” nomination form, which can be downloaded below.

Please also make note of the detailed procedure for making and seconding nominations and or any subsequent election which needs to take place, should more than one eligible nominee be identified. This guidance can be found here.

Nominations must be received by close of play on Friday 12 June, to allow for elections, should they be necessary, to conclude by 10 July. Nominations must be submitted by email to Andrea Chilton or posted to the Chief Executive at the ESFA office postal address.
