ESFA Announce 2019 England Squad

The final squad of 18 Schoolboys is released

The ESFA have concluded their search for this season’s most talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in the 2018-2019 Schools’ Football season. The selectors chose the final 18 players following a friendly match against the RAF at RAF Cosford on Saturday 26 January, in which the ESFA enjoyed a 2 – 1 victory. You can read the match report here.

Following a series of trials for schoolboys in England, the final 20 squad headed to the friendly match in Cosford last weekend, for ESFA selectors to decide on the final 18 members that would represent England Schoolboys throughout the remainder of the 2019 season. Only the very best trialists were given the privilege of representing their country on an international level.

The players, who were first nominated for trials by their own counties, have now been whittled down via the ESFA’s international trial process to the final, successful 18 squad members.
