ESFA Reward & Recognition Awards – Winners Announcement

The first five winners of the ESFA Reward & Recognition Awards were celebrated for their achievements at Stoke City FC on Saturday 13 May

Following the launch of the ESFA’s Reward & Recognition Awards earlier this year, shortlisted nominees were invited to Stoke City FC as part of the ESFA National Finals on Saturday 13 May. Four of the five winners were present and following a post match meal, were presented with their awards by ESFA Chair, Stuart Botham.

After over 300 nominations and 9,000 votes via the ESFA’s website, we are delighted to announce this year’s first five winners below –

Award for teacher dedication to schools’ football:

Craig Smith from Cleves School in Surrey

Association young volunteer award:

Colm Rafferty from Bradford Metro Schools’ FA

Association success story award:

Rotherham Schools’ FA & Aaron Boyd (award accepted by Lee Walker on his behalf)

Match official service to schools’ football award:

Alfie Hobbs, Leicestershire

Award for voluntary dedication to schools’ football:

Kevin Laundon from Sussex County Schools’ FA

Keep an eye on the ESFA’s social media channels for some interviews with the deserving winners later this week. Each shortlisted nominee will win a schools’ football bundle and the winners will receive a £500 voucher to spend with ESFA kit providers, Pro:Direct.

The ESFA would like to thank everyone who sent in nominations for these awards and thank each and every schools’ football volunteer from across the country – without you, our activity wouldn’t exist.

Congratulations once again to everyone involved.
