ESFA Announce First 22 National Finals for 2022

The ESFA is delighted to announce that a huge 22 National Schools’ Cup Finals will be held at Stoke City FC in May

After a long awaited return to stadium events and a full programme of National Schools’ Cup Finals, the ESFA is delighted to announce 22 National Finals will take place at Stoke City FC in May.

The stadium will host six days of National Final matches, crowning 22 National Champions across an array of representative, school and Super League competitions from U11 – U18 age groups. The events will take place on:

  • Sunday 8th May
  • Monday 9th May
  • Tuesday 10th May
  • Thursday 12th May
  • Friday 13th May
  • Saturday 14th May

The ESFA will release the full fixture list on Wednesday 6th April, but you can find below the full list of National Finals and participants that are confirmed to be part of the event.

Darren Alcock, Director of Operations at the English Schools’ FA said, “we are delighted to be able to host our Under 16, Under 18 Inter-Schools’ Cup and our Champions Cup Finals at such a prestigious venue.  The facilities at Stoke City’s stadium are first class and will help us to offer the participating players the very best experience and reward the teams for their efforts in reaching the national finals. 

We would like to place on record our thanks to Stoke City FC for their kind and generous hospitality in allowing us to use their stadium and facilities.  We are very much looking forward to hosting all the players, staff, officials and communities of the schools and associations involved.  It promises to be a fantastic week in showcasing the very best of schools’ football
