ESFA Panini Classroom Challenge – Winner Announced!

Essex Primary School wins £2,000 cash in the Classroom Challenge

Through the ESFA and Panini’s ongoing partnership, at the beginning of this school year, primary schools in England were invited to register to receive some Premier League Adrenalyn XLâ„¢ trading card goodies for their school, including worksheets with a competition to design a mascot for their local team or school. The competition prize was an incredible £2k cash for the winning school, plus £50 Amazon voucher and football shirt for the winning pupil – to top it all off, winners also receive a presentation assembly at their school from Panini.

The competition received over 6000 entries from primary schools all over the country getting involved with pupils of all ages showing off their skills and designing some amazing mascots!

The competition received over 6000 entries from primary schools all over the country getting involved with pupils of all ages showing off their skills and designing some amazing mascots! Following a difficult judging process with an incredibly high standard of entries, the ESFA and Panini are delighted to announce that Mayespark Primary School in Essex produced the winning entry thanks to Aritra from Year 6 with “Fearless Finn”.

The ESFA judges were delighted with the quality of entries submitted from all participating schools and found the level of work that went into each of them was impressively high. The Judges were asked for their top 3 entries meaning we had two runners up, Garry from High View School in Plymouth and Aiden from Leighswood Primary School, Walsall.

Due to the standard of entries we wanted to share some other designs that caught our eye during the judging process and celebrate the achievements of as many pupils as possible.

We would like to thank Aritra and his fellow pupils from Mayespark Primary School, as well as all the other competing schools, for taking the time to enter this competition and providing us with such fantastic examples of artistic design by young students.
