Royal Docks Academy 1 -Bishop Thomas Grant Catholic Secondary School 2

ESFA U15 PlayStation F.C. Schools Cup for Girls

A close encounter of the second round kind in the capital as Bishop Thomas Grant came from a goal down to claim a 3rd round place.

With the sunshine taking over from the early afternoon rain the home side edged ahead when Elliston raced through on goal and lifted the ball high over keeper Sanyaolu and into the net.

The action was end to end and the visitors drew level through   Asamoah who fired past   Jideonwo in the home goal for a deserved equaliser.

And things got better for the visitors before the break from a set piece, a deep corner from Catanhoa deceiving home keeper Jideonwo and nestling in the far corner.

The second half saw much the same with both sides having opportunities to score but unable to find a way past either defence or keeper.

There was almost a clear opportunity for the home side to score in injury time but Elliston was denied the chance to shoot by a last ditch tackle from  Sinckler-Bermingham, sister of England Rugby World Cup star Kyle, on the edge of the area.

Another competitive game of Schools football which could have gone either way but saw Bishop Thomas Grant Catholic Secondary School take their place in the 3rd round with a 2-1 win.
