Ahhh The Schools’ Report with ThreeFiveThree Photography

This week on The Schools’ Report with  ThreeFiveThree  photographer  Garry Griffiths, we look back to the ESFA Under 13 Boys PlayStation Schools’ Cup with Hanham Woods Academy (Navy Blue) hosted Kennet School (Sky Blue) in the round of 16!

Kennet School inflicted late heartbreak on Hanham Woods Academy with 3 late goals sealing their progress into the quarter final.

In a really close contest it was Oscar McClure who fired the visitors in front within the opening minute, a fine strike from the edge of the box beating Matthew Martin in the Hanham Woods goal.

Both sides were trying to get the ball down and play although it was deep into the second half before the tie sprung to life when the home side were awarded a penalty that Sonny Pasco fired past Donnacha Burke in the Kennet goal.

McClure then fired in a long range free kick to put Kennet back in the driving seat only for Kailen Anderson to smash home a long range equaliser late on which seemed to secure a trip to extra time.

Charlie Perkins came close to putting Hanham in front but his header bounced to safety off the crossbar and that was the turning point as the visitors clinically sealed victory in the closing moments.

McClure converted a penalty for his hat-trick which edged Kennet ahead and, with Hanham pushing for a way back into the tie, they were undone at the back twice in as many minutes with Kuba Zmijewski and Cameron Squires sealing a 5-2 win.
