The search for the most talented Schools’ Footballers is now complete for the 2018-19 season
The ESFA have concluded their search for this season’s most talented Schools’ Footballers to represent their country in the ESFA U15 Girls’ squad in the 2018-2019 Schools’ Football season. The selectors chose the final 18 players following the final national trials held on Sunday 9th December.
Trialists from the North, Midlands, South East and South West of England came together at Stafford Town FC’s Evans Park for their final opportunity to earn a place in the 2018-19 U15 Schoolgirls England squad last weekend. Only the very best trialists were given the privilege of representing the country on an international level.

The girls, who were first nominated for trials by their own counties, had been whittled down to four regional squads who played against each other and those successful players will now have the opportunity to represent England in the forthcoming girls’ international programme, which includes taking part in the SAFIB Bob Docherty Cup, scheduled to take place in Salou, Spain in April 2019.
The successful U15 schoolgirls are named below:

Jessica Simpson | Lancashire | LB |
Ella Wilson | Northumberland | CMF |
Tigi Gent | Lancashire | CF |
Lily Patrick | Cleveland | LW |

The ESFA international squads are made up of the best players in Schools’ Football in England. They are chosen based upon their talent, following making it through a national nomination process. The chosen squad will now go on to represent England playing against their UK counterparts in the 2019 SAFIB Bob Docherty Cup in Salou, Spain. The girls will also enjoy a week of warm weather training in February, courtesy of inspiresport.
The ESFA would like to congratulate the girls named above on their success within the girls’ international programme and wish them all the very best in their upcoming fixtures in 2019.
